No. Almost Legal Business gives you AI-generated documents and information to act on yourself. We are not a law firm and nothing we produce is legal advice. For high-stakes matters, take advice from a qualified solicitor.
Is it built for the UK?
Yes — it is built for UK businesses and grounded in UK law: the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act, the debt pre-action protocols, the road-traffic rules behind parking and fleet fines, and more. It is a UK tool, not a generic global one, and it applies the right rules for where you and the other party are.
Why not just use ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is a blank chat box — you have to know the law, know what to ask, and hope it does not invent a statute or a court rule. Almost Legal is purpose-built for these jobs and grounded in the actual UK legislation and pre-action protocols, with guardrails that stop it fabricating law or overstating your case. How is it priced?

What is a credit?
One credit = one generated document. Your monthly allowance refreshes at the start of each billing month; unused credits do not roll over. Unlimited has no credit cap, subject to fair use.
What is a seat?
Each subscription is a single secure business account with its own login — one plan covers your whole operation, with unlimited drivers, vehicles and cases. Multi-user team seats are coming soon.
Is there an annual option, and what does it save?
Yes. Annual plans are billed once a year and give you 12 months for the price of 10 — two months free — while your monthly credit allowance still refreshes every month. You can choose monthly or annual at checkout.
Do unused credits roll over?
No — credits are a monthly allowance that resets at the start of each billing month, so they are not banked. Unlimited has nothing to run out of, subject to fair use (one subscription = one business).
Can I cancel, and what happens to my access?
Cancel any time from your account — no minimum term, no phone call. You keep access until the end of the month you have already paid for, then the subscription stops. Your data stays in your workspace unless you ask us to delete it.
Free trial & verification
How does the free first month work?
New businesses get their first month free on Complete — both modules, 100 documents, £0 today. We confirm your business is genuine at sign-up: if you’re on Companies House, or we can find your website/social online, no card is needed. If we can’t verify you automatically, we’ll take a card to start the free month (still £0 today). Either way the first charge only lands when the month ends, and you can cancel before then.
Why do you verify my business?
To keep the free month to one genuine business each, and to put a real, verified company name on the letters and documents we generate for you. Registered companies and LLPs verify instantly via Companies House; if you are not registered there, we confirm you from the website or social profile you give us. If we cannot verify you automatically, you can still start the free month by adding a card.
I am a sole trader with no company number — can I still sign up?
Yes. You do not need a Companies House number — just give your business name and your website or social media profile, and we verify you online. If we cannot confirm you automatically, you can still start your free month with a card (still £0 today).

Can I try it before I pay?
Yes — the free first month on Complete is the trial: full access to both modules, 100 documents, £0 today.
Can I put my own letterhead and logo on the documents?
Yes. Upload your logo and confirm your address in your workspace and every document and PDF we generate carries your company letterhead automatically. You can even upload an existing letterhead and we read the name, address and contact details straight off it.
How long does it take to get going?
A few minutes. Verify your business, set up your letterhead, and you can raise your first debt letter, fine appeal or contract review straight away — no onboarding calls, no setup fee.
How do I get help?

Your data & confidentiality
I will be uploading my customers’ and drivers’ details. How is that handled?
When you put personal data into the platform (debtor details, driver names, contract counterparties), we process it on your instructions as your data processor under UK GDPR. We use it to run the tool you asked for and nothing else. The full terms are in our business privacy & data-processing page.
Do you train AI on my documents?
No. Your content is used to produce your output. It is not used to train models, and our AI provider processes it under a no-training arrangement. See the privacy & data page for the provider list.
Who owns the documents I generate?
You do. Once a document is generated it is yours to use for any lawful purpose.
