About Almost Legal

Almost Legal builds AI tools for the problems most businesses just absorb — because getting proper help costs too much, takes too long, or feels like more trouble than it’s worth.

A parking charge against a company van that nobody had time to contest. An invoice that’s ninety days overdue. A supplier contract full of clauses nobody explained. A driver recharged for a fine they never got the chance to challenge. Each of these is small enough that handing it to a solicitor doesn’t make sense — and big enough that ignoring it costs real money.

So most businesses either absorb the loss or muddle through alone. Almost Legal Business exists to change that.

What we build

Almost Legal Business puts six tools on one desk, on one subscription, for UK small businesses, sole traders and fleets:

Throughout, you stay in control. You decide what to send. We just make sure you have something worth sending.

How it works

Our tools are powered by Claude, Anthropic’s AI model, with the domain-specific legal knowledge and frameworks we have built ourselves for each tool. We chose Claude because Anthropic has taken safety and accuracy more seriously than anyone else in the field — and because the consequences of getting things wrong matter to the businesses that rely on us.

Almost Legal is self-help drafting software, not a law firm, and nothing we produce is formal legal advice. Our documents are grounded in the law of England & Wales, with Scotland and Northern Ireland variants where relevant.

Who we are

Almost Legal is built and run by a small team based in the Isle of Man. Almost Legal Business is operated by Almost Legal Limited (Isle of Man, company no. 139020C), part of the Muerto Limited group.

We are not VC-funded and we do not have a sales team. Almost Legal Business is a straightforward monthly subscription — see the pricing page — and that is the whole business model.

If something we’ve built helped you, the best thing you can do is tell another business about it.
